Why does XXXXX gym cost this much and your prices are much more?

First of all you get what you pay for. We are not like a big commercial crowded gym with thousands of members and are not considered in the same category. We are a personal training company. Our staff to member ratio is about 1:10 where the big gyms are usually 1:100+ Every session is designed and orchestrated by a qualified trainer who will ensure you have proper form on all the movements and provides the motivation that you will never have on your own. This is unlike a typical gym where you are responsible for your own routine and nobody corrects your form. Even the group classes may have 30-60 people for only one instructor. They lure you in with an attractive price and actually want you to fail and quit before your membership expires to free up space for more. Also the fact that all our staff are international and salary and overheads are not the same as local Chinese. Our prices and services are on par with expat managed studios in China and major cities in Europe, Australia, USA etc Usually the people that only wish to pay the cheapest prices complain about the low standards and conditions of the average gyms and trainers in China. They get the lowest quality but still end up paying more as they continue quitting and changing venues while overall never improving their fitness.

Why does personal training cost XXXrmb per session?

What value do you put on your health and wellness and living longer? The average cost of a fully personalized tailored program session is the same of a regular dinner out for two. Most people spend far more money on a weekend drinking, eating out, smoking and other self destructive pathways than the cost its takes to improve themselves.

Not all instructors are created equal. Being an unregulated market some trainers are freelancing with no overheads, some have No/Fake qualifications and some have a “50USD online 1 hour” certification. At Eternity you are training with some of the top trainers in the country. Many travel regularly to continue education and workshops. Real licenses and ongoing training is very expensive. You are not just paying per hour, you’re paying for years of experience and an express way to safe, fast results with out the mistakes, you can never achieve this on your own. A good trainer can get you there in 3 months which you may or may not reach by yourself in a year or more. Another reason is our personal training is REAL PT -means there is only one trainer, a customized exercise program and your hiring own private gym. The commercial gym personal training which most are familiar with is really a “cookie cutter “workout- the same plan given to every person and then working out in a crowded gym room as you wait for other to finish with the machine or space. Eternity VIP Fitness is the first and still only dedicated PT studio in Shanghai and the longest established expat fitness in China. If you do the research, you’ll find our prices are no more expensive than what you will pay back home in Europe, Australia USA etc.
